Vacature: Full stack developer / GIS-webdeveloper
Who we are
We are a research tech start-up, a new division of NGInfra. We are developing a cutting-edge online platform for performing distributed simulations of multiple, interdependent urban infrastructures. We are a group of young, talented and enthusiastic developers that gets excited addressing complex challenges. Our goal is to facilitate collaboration between our stakeholders by providing the technology that they can leverage to share data and knowledge, so that they can tackle complex problems in innovative ways.
What we need
Within our simulation platform we are working on a new web-dashboard to visualize our simulation data.
(Almost) all of our data is geospatial of nature which need to be visualized in an intuitive, clear and performant way. Unlike most geospatial data, our data almost always has a time components which means that attribute values are actually series. Visualizing those in an interactive and fluent manner requires experience with optimization techniques such as LOD to speed up visualization performance. Although the dashboard is in an early stage of development, we have chosen Deck.gl as the main framework. Experience with Deck.gl or similar is a plus. It will be your responsibility to work together with the customers and the rest of the development team to build and improve this visualization dashboard.
But this is just where your job starts. There are plenty opportunities to pick up other tasks such as further frontend development, backend development, security, DevOps, working on customer projects, building data pipelines and/or writing documentation.
You’ll be working with an international team in an Agile environment where you’ll be working closely with the users. We are a relatively small startup where everyone in the team has a broad skillset. We expect you to take interest and initiative in developing yourself and your skillset so that you’ll be the versatile team member that we need.
